Werewolves of the Dark Arts: About

About this Website

This website was put together by *morningstar (that's me :3). I have almost no coding knowledge, and it's really been a big adventure doing this. We never really planned on having me do the website, but that's how it ended up working out. A lot of the core documents were supplied to me by Toby, and it took a lot of heavy editing, error-checking, and rewriting to get them to the form you see now.

This whole thing was put together and tested on my mirror (werewolf.gerbilfat.com) before being put on the official website. I normally update there first to make sure that my update isn't going to break something. Speaking of broken, if you see any typos or other dumb mistakes, please email me and I'll see what I can do about fixing it!

Special thanks to AbortRetryFail and Ink♠ for putting up with all of my terrible whining and helping me put this mess together.

Distribution and Your Rights

Werewolves of the Dark Arts is distributed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported license. This license means that everyone is free to distribute this work for personal use, as long as it's attributed back here and remains unedited. This license prohibits commercial use (i.e. someone printing and selling cards at a flea market) or prohibits derivative works (i.e. chopping up the cards and using them for other purposes). It is licensed this way to protect us (and you) from someone making minor edits to the cards and then selling low-quality bootlegs. Personally, I don't think this is very likely, but people sometimes do weird things on the Internet. :)

This type of licensing doesn't prohibit fanart and other fanworks! I love fanart! ♥

My intent has always been (and will be in the foreseeable figure) to distribute these cards for free in a digital format. This means that you should never have to pay for them if you don't want to - likewise, nobody should ever demand payment from you for using 'their' cards. I've avoided aggressively watermarking the online versions so that, while they're low-resolution, they can be printed and used by anyone without ugly copyright symbols all over them.

My main goal of getting into this entire thing was to have fun with it and so something productive. I hope all of the people who play have as much fun playing it as I did making it. :)
